An interesting Google search today revealed that the first post I wrote for this blog had been replicated 100% without credit or links on a host news site. If you’re curious, or just feel like writing a good hosting post and you wonder where it would end up, run a google search on any phrase (including the full title) of this article:
“How a great deal can make you cry: Overseller Hosting”
If you are facing a similar problem, Lorelle on Wordpress offers a great source of information on dealing with copyright infringement. She also offers a vast selection for Wordpress pluggins for auto-copyrighting and identification of any stolen posts from a Wordpress site. Thanks Lorelle!
The hosting site’s administrator has been warned, and I will not reveal their name unless the culprit refuses to give credit where due.

I’m sorry to hear that this has happened to you and I’ll gladly help you if there is any way that I can.
However, if the person does not cooperate, I would not post the information here as the search engines can not distinguish between good and bad linking and it could win up helping the infringer.
If they don’t respond, you can file a DMCA notice with the host and get the site removed. I have templates on my site and can gladly help you find who the host is if needed.
Let me know if there is anything i can do to help!

Thank you Jonathan. The comment I left on the host news site never made it to their page. However, somehow the same site also completely disappeared from Google’s listings. I am not sure who or what made that happen, but looking up the name of my article will now show only my site, which is encouraging. Thanks again for your post. I will keep your advice in mind in case of future problems.
